Huntlys Heavy Equipment have been involved in numerous civil projects in both the Rockhampton region and Central Queensland.
Huntlys Heavy Equipment have a wide range of equipment and qualified operators readily available to perform earthmoving scope of works. With an average of 15 employees in both full time and casual roles we have the ability to easily upscale or downscale on any project in a reasonably short period of time, this allows us greater flexibility to work with our customers and reduce costs.
We have a close relationship with a number of other businesses including plant hire companies and other earthmoving companies (competitors) which allows us access to additional plant and qualified workers if required. We have worked successfully with these businesses on numerous occasions in the past when we required additional resources on a tight deadline.

Project Details:
Huntlys Heavy Equipment are currently working with HQPlantations at Byfield, on the clearing, re-constructions and upgrading of roads destroyed by cyclone Marcia.
- Clearing of debris from roads
- Haulage of materials (gravel) to rebuild roads
- Grading and levelling of roads
- Excavation and widening of roads
- Dust suppression
- Job considered high risk due to access of general public, strict safety procedures including traffic management plans have been put in place, zero incidents or near misses have occurred.
- Zero environmental incidents have occurred
- Works have been performed to guidelines and scope of works
- Works have been completed to budget while maintaining quality
- The site supervisor and manager of Huntly’s have maintained open communication with interested parties including HQPlantations representatives, Huntly’s employees and subcontractors on site
- The site supervisor have overseen the safety and project management of both employees and subcontractors
- Huntlys have supplied guidance to HQPlantations on maintenance of roads to help reduce the costs in the future.
